WISH Education is an international education centre and social enterprise based in Sibiu, Romania. We provide English language courses for children, teenagers and adults, preparation for international examinations (Cambridge English, IELTS, TOEFL, Digital SAT), academic support for learners in Cambridge International and IB schools, university admissions guidance, examination services and international education consultancy for families and schools.

It means our success is measured by educational impact as well as by financial results. A share of the places on our programmes is reserved for learners for whom cost would otherwise be a barrier, and any surplus is reinvested into educational programmes for the community in Sibiu. We run programmes for children, teenagers and adults. Groups are formed by age and language level so that every learner works at a pace that suits them. To determine the right group we always begin with a placement test and a short conversation.

Through the free initial assessment: a written test covering grammar, vocabulary and reading comprehension, followed by a short conversation to assess speaking. We express the result on the CEFR scale (A1–C2) and use it as the starting point for our course recommendation.

We work with small groups precisely so that every learner speaks in every lesson. For learners who need a very specific pace or objective, we also offer one-to-one sessions.

Yes. Several programmes can run online or in a hybrid format, depending on the course type and group availability. University admissions guidance and educational mentoring work very well fully online.

We prepare candidates for Cambridge English Qualifications (A2 Key, B1 Preliminary, B2 First, C1 Advanced, C2 Proficiency), IELTS, TOEFL and the Digital SAT. Preparation includes timed mock examinations, paper-specific strategies and detailed feedback on writing and speaking.

It depends on the distance between your current level and the level the examination requires. As a guide, moving from one CEFR level to the next usually takes between 150 and 200 hours of study. After the initial assessment we tell you realistically how much time you need and propose a schedule up to examination day.

Yes. Through our examination services we administer international examinations in a secure environment that meets board standards, including registration, professional invigilation and candidate support before, during and after the examination.

Ideally 12 to 18 months before the submission deadline. That window allows time to clarify the subject area, sit the language examination, build the university shortlist, write the personal statement and prepare for interviews without last-minute pressure. We can work to shorter timelines, but the options narrow.

No. The student writes it, and we help them find the right story, structure it and express it convincingly in English. Admissions teams recognise a statement written by someone else immediately, and it can be flagged as academic misconduct.

It is specialist academic support for learners following the Cambridge International or International Baccalaureate curricula. It covers English as a First, Second or Additional Language, literature, essay writing, academic writing, study skills, critical thinking, coursework and examination preparation.
